The Coast Guard medevaced the 60-year-old Master who had sustained injuries from the 52-foot fishing vessel Lady Kay two miles south of Knowles Head, Alaska, Thursday.
A Coast Guard helicopter aircrew from Air Station Kodiak hoisted the injured man from the fishing vessel Lady Kay and transported him to awaiting emergency medical services in Cordova at 12:50 p.m. The man was reported in stable condition upon transfer.
Watchstanders at the Sector Anchorage command center received notification at 11:33 p.m. that the vessel’s master sustained injuries and required assistance.
