Helicopter Rescue in 50 mph winds

A Coast Guard Jayhawk helicopter crew medevaced a mariner who suffered suffered a leg injury while working in heavy seas from the cargo vessel Tianjin Pioneer in 50 mph winds approximately 97 miles north of Adak, Alaska, Saturday.

The crew hoisted the 21-year-old man and transported him to awaiting emergency medical personnel in Adak. He was then transported to Anchorage for medical care.
