F/V PAULINE II Fire, one dead

Early morning on July 4, fire broke out on 30-foot F/V PAULINE II while moored at the Alaska General Seafoods cannery dock in Egegik, Alaska. The brothers, Joe Paul, 50, Paul Paul, 55, and Harberg Paul, the eldest brother, were on board. Joe and Paul were rescued by fishermen who saw the flames; the brothers were burned and were taken for medical treatment. Later, a body believed to be their elder brother, Harberg, was found after the fire.
There will be an investigation into the cause of the fire.
