Crewmen Injured in heavy weather falls, safely medevaced.

Station Kodiak, Alaska, MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew medevaced a 32-year-old man and a 28-year-old man from the 738-foot cargo ship Cemtex Venture approximately 220 miles southeast of Kodiak, Tuesday.
The Jayhawk crew safely hoisted the men and rendezvoused with emergency medical services personnel in Kodiak where one patient was transferred by LifeMed to Anchorage and the other to Kodiak Providence Hospital.
Coast Guard 17th District watchstanders received a report from the crew of the Cemtex Venture that two crewmembers suffered injuries as a result of falls during heavy weather. Watchstanders consulted with the duty flight surgeon who recommended that the crewmembers be taken to a higher level of medical care. Watchstanders requested that the ship alter its course toward Kodiak Island to get within range of the Coast Guard helicopters.
Weather on scene was reported as 18 mph winds and 19-foot seas.
