Coast Guard medevac from Montague Island

A Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew medevaced an injured 50-year-old man on Montague Island near Seward, Alaska, Wednesday.

The Jayhawk crew safely transported the man to Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage.
Coast Guard Sector Anchorage watchstanders received a call from a good Samaritan boater who reported can injured man in need of medical assistance.  The duty flight surgeon recommended the medieval.

Alaska State Troopers are investigating the incident.

Weather on scene was reported as 16 degrees with 17 mph winds.
