Mayday medical Evac from F/V Vendor

A Coast Guard helicopter crew responded to a mayday call and medevaced an injured mariner from the fishing vessel Vendor in Pybus Bay, near Fredrick Sound, approximately 80 miles south of Juneau. They hoisted the 37-year-old man in 12 mph winds and transported him to awaiting emergency medical personnel in Sitka.

The mariner requested assistance after reportedly suffering a leg injury.
