Successful Rescue!

44-foot lobster boat ANNA MARY reported a man missing, last seen the night before when he assumed the 1700 watch. The Coast Guard launched an extensive search by air and sea, joined by other agencies and Good Samaritan vessel crews, covering over 780 square miles.
The man was spotted by a Coast Guard helicopter during the early afternoon. A swimmer was lowered to assist him to safety. Amazingly, he survived so long after going into the water.
Once he was taken ashore, Mr. Aldridge was sent to Falmouth Hospital in Massachusetts to be treated for hypothermia, dehydration, and exposure.
