LINKS

Our experience has led us to a number of useful maritime sites, potentially helpful to persons with maritime injury / injury at sea. Here are a few links you may find helpful.

Marine safety experts:

We have benefited repeatedly from the services of Captain Kirk Greiner (ret.) as a marine safety expert, whose Web site may be found at: http://www.maritimeconsultant.com

Captain Greiner is an able expert witness on most marine safety issues and, as a former Coast Guardsman, has substantial experience in the maritime industry.

We also recommend Captain Charles Jacobsen, who may be found on our staff and experts page. Captain Jacobsen is, likewise, very experienced and, in particular, has substantial experience skippering various vessels in the fishing industry.

Maritime Law Resources:

There are a number of excellent resources on the Web for maritime law. Of particular usefulness is the Cornell Law School site at :http://www.law.cornell.edu/

You may also wish to check out the Tulane Law School site at: http://www.law.tulane.edu/

Medical assistance:

The following sites may be of assistance for everything from a broken bone to brain injury. We encourage you to check out your medical questions with these informational Websites:

For an excellent resource, including whole body diagram and medical anatomy, go to mic.ki.se, also known as "Karolinska Institutet." This is a Swedish medical resource where you can click on a whole body picture to get information on each part of the anatomy and the effects of trauma.

Also, try wheeles.belganorthoweb.be/med.htm, which also shows whole-body anatomy.

Vocational rehabilitation:

John Berg is a vocational expert. John can be reached at: Vocational Consulting, Inc., (206) 933-8870, or fax (206) 937-6236. His office in Seattle is located at 3515 S.W. Alaska Street.
